Some of my fondest childhood memories involved superheroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, The Hulk. My
younger brother collected comic books, and many of his childhood photos feature him with a blanket of some sort
tied around his neck! Stephen Rice must have some of those same memories, and his brilliant love of language and
vivid imagination has created a League of Superheroes that only the 21st century can contain! When four incredibly
gifted young men and one adorable but annoying little girl befriend a young girl via the internet, their lives begin to
transform like – well – a League of Superheroes!
The powers of super speed, strength, invisibility and shrinking, when joined with the morality of four well-loved,
Christian guided and highly intelligent young men create endless possibilities for adventure and danger! I must admit
I didn’t understand some of the scientific terms, and I can’t fathom that many kids could navigate the story
without a dictionary, but overall it was a highly entertaining story with some terrific spiritual lessons explained
along the way! It sounds like there are more adventures ahead for this unusual group, so if you like superheroes,
then Stephen Leon Rice is someone you need to look into further!
